It is raw, heavy, complex and simple. You can feel the music. It is instantly infectious. The story is inspirational. The pain is real. The first song I heard was "The Strain". I was instantly hooked. I've had it stuck in my head since I first heard it, and I've listened to it a half dozen times since I discovered it, which was maybe 5 days.

I love the warm, natural sound of the performances: the way the vocals seem to be buried inside of the music, and the drums sound so raw and ambient. This is truly one of my favorite records. The songwriting is particularly inspiring.

Darkhorse is an absolutely amazing song. The instrumentals are so beautiful. And your voice just pierces my soul so deep. I've been listening to the lost highways version for maybe a year, and I didn't realize it for a while, but Emma is easily in my top most very favorite newer music. I live in a little mountain town in Idaho, perhaps no one else here has heard you. But you have a huge fan in me. That includes everything I've heard, from acoustic to doom metal.
